The 2018 Greater Manchester Care Leaver Awards will provide an opportunity to recognise the achievements of care-experienced young people from across the region. The event is organised by the universities and local authorities in Greater Manchester alongside the Care Leavers’ Association, and provides an opportunity for you to highlight someone who you think deserves credit for what they have done in any aspect of their life.
We recognise that many Care Leavers achieve success despite experiencing very difficult circumstances during their lives. These awards give you a chance to recognise their achievements in:
- training courses such as apprenticeships
- the workplace
- enrichment activities such as sport, drama, dance or music
- community or charity work
The awards are for young people aged 16-25 who are either in local authority care or have left care and are defined as a care leaver by the local authority.
Nominations should be received no later than 5pm on Friday 14th September through the link below.
