South East London Designated Member of Staff Group for Looked After Children and Care Leavers (SELDMS)
The aim of the South East London Designated Member of Staff Group is to support the achievement, retention and progression of young people in the care of a Local Authority at key stage 5 and above. The context of this work is framed within a national agenda to improve the educational outcomes for care leavers. The SELDMS group meet two times a year, usually at the end of the Autumn and Summer terms and the meetings provide an excellent opportunity to network with others across the region as well as keeping up to date on LAC/CL issues and sharing best practice.
