No Easy Path: Supporting LGBTQ+ Estranged Students in Further and Higher Education

What are the realities facing LGBTQ+ young people who are estranged from their families, and how can colleges and universities better support them? This webinar will share findings from No Easy Path: The Realities of LGBTQ+ Young People Estranged from Their Families, a recent research project co-produced by young people and Buttle.

Co-presented by one of the young researchers, the session will explore the challenges LGBTQ+ estranged students face, with a particular focus on their experiences in further and higher education. We will consider what institutions can learn from the research and how the NNECL Quality Mark can help strengthen practical, meaningful support that enables estranged students to succeed, thrive and feel a genuine sense of belonging.
