Webinar: Student Finance and the NNECL Quality Mark

This webinar will showcases new materials and guidance developed jointly by the Student Loans Company and NNECL on the place of student finance within the Quality Mark. It will look at examples of how institutions can build financial information into their outreach activities for care experienced young people.

Patricia Ambrose NNECL Director: Patricia will introduce the session and highlight some illustrative examples of support on student finance from Quality Mark submissions.

Charmaine Valente Student Loans Company:

This session will explore the role of
student finance within the NNECL Quality Mark and provide a general update on
the funding process. Charmaine Valente will discuss the positivity of the
partnership between NNECL and the Student Loans Company, including the
introduction of resources to support the Quality Mark and good practice more
generally. She will highlight ways in which universities and colleges can better
support their care leaver students in accessing student finance, thereby
contributing to a positive student experience and good degree outcomes
