Louise Harrison & Anna Walpole- NERAP: The North East Raising Aspiration Partnership is a collaboration of the five universities in the North East of England, working together to support young people to think about their futures and how higher education can help them reach their goals. We are committed to providing additional support for students who are care-experienced or a young carer via the Choices Together Progressive Programme which forms part of our wider regional core offer for care-experienced students via our Regional Care Leaver Covenant. We will outline further detail about the Choices Together Progressive Programme and our Regional Care Leaver Covenant approach during the session.

This session will briefly discuss collaborative approaches to planning, budgeting, event delivery, and impact evaluation

    • Impact and outcomes – GCSE success, NEETS data, progression to HE and projections for our next graduating cohort (2023)
    • Our newest and national (online) programme – FS2U addressing digital poverty, the programme and our residential partners.
    • Advocacy and voice – Higher Aspirations: Annual report card on how many care leavers go to university; Scholars council ; Supporting Transitions Programme research with the Office for Students
