Survey Launch for feasibility study on the potential development of a consistent, baseline offer by HE providers for care experienced students
The National Network of Care Leavers (NNECL) is delighted to have been commissioned by the Office for Students to undertake a feasibility study on the potential development of a consistent, baseline offer by HE providers for care experienced students.
A short, online survey to gather views from HE providers has been launched today and is available here. The deadline for responses is 4 December 2020. We encourage all institutions to participate so that we can build as full a picture as possible of current support and options for the future.
As part of the study, we will also be carrying out a series of interviews with a sample of HE institutions, regional networks, UniConnect partnerships, local authorities and experts. Our work will map out the current environment of support for care experienced students and identify options for future development. These will be taken forward in a second phase of work to pilot approaches with one or more regional or collaborative networks.
