Dr Zoe Baker, is a care-experienced Researcher from the Department of Education at the University of York.

Dr Baker is looking for final year university care experienced students to participate in her research project which explores care-experienced graduate transitions, particularly their decision making, choices, plans and destinations for post university life.

The project explores care-experienced graduates’ plans for after they have completed university, the reasons, motivations and influences underpinning these plans (for instance, why are you interested in this plan?) as well as your experiences of the transition into graduate life.

This is currently a very under researched area, and understanding care-experienced graduates’ views and experiences is needed to help inform policies and practices to better support transitions out of university.
Importantly, as a care-experienced person who went to university myself, I am very invested in hearing the experiences of other care-experienced students, and in making positive changes to policy and practices that affect/may affect us.

So if you are;  a care-experienced final year university student (who are due to complete their studies in 2022), based in either England or Scotland please see the attached flyer for more details and how to apply with an expression of interest.
