Leap Confronting Conflict
A new Podcast hosted by young Care Experts
Over the past year, Leap have been working hard to develop and embed our work in co-production across the organisation. This has been particularly successful through Under Our Roof - our programme supporting young people in care and their carers to manage conflict and build safe, supportive relationships.
In summer 2020, we shared the opportunity to be part of a co-production group with young people in care and care leavers across the country. Since then, we have been lucky enough to work with an amazing group of young people with experience of the UK care system. Together, the group have been working hard to create a brand new podcast called Let's Talk Conflict.
We are incredibly excited to announce that Episode 1 of the podcast is now live! You can listen to it on Spotify, Google Podcasts and Apple Podcasts.
The episode is full of honest reflections on the group's personal relationships and experiences with conflict both in and out of the care system, and how they have navigated it. You will undoubtedly come away with several useful tips and tricks for how to manage conflict in daily life!
We will be releasing new episodes each week for the next six weeks, so keep an eye out on our social media and make sure to follow us on your listening platform.
We hope that by amplifying young people's voices and experiences, we can start to see better outcomes for young people in care and care leavers across the UK.
