Housing_Futures_A_NNECL_perspect...

This week we held a webinar to share insights from our new paper Housing Futures: A NNECL Perspective on What Works for Accommodation. This work, lead by Moira Mitchell our Co-Lead Quality Mark Assessor draws on insights from NNECL Quality Mark submissions to highlight effective practice in student accommodation for care-experienced and estranged learners across further and higher education.

The paper highlights evidenced examples of what works, provides an overview of local authority responsibilities, and begins to set out our policy thinking on improving accommodation pathways for students with care experience.

By sharing examples of effective practice from Quality Mark holders and highlighting outcomes that make a real-world difference for care-experienced and estranged students, we aim to support institutions in recognising their strengths, identifying areas for improvement, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the post-16 education sector.

We'll be sharing how we plan to move forward on the papers observations and recommendations in the New Year. If you would like to speak to us about partnering on any of that work please get in touch ([email protected])
