Annual Conference 2026: Belonging and Mattering

A day of learning, connection and inspiration

We are delighted to invite colleagues from across our sectors to join us for our Annual Conference 2026, generously hosted by our partners at UCAS at their conference space.

This year our conference will explore the theme of Belonging and Mattering - two concepts that are increasingly recognised as fundamental to student success, wellbeing, engagement and outcomes. As institutions continue to navigate an evolving landscape, creating environments in which students and staff feel valued, connected and able to thrive has never been more important.

Bringing together practitioners, researchers, leaders and changemakers, the conference will provide a space to share ideas, challenge thinking and explore innovative approaches that foster a culture of belonging within our institutions and communities.

What to expect:

Throughout the day, delegates will hear from inspiring keynote speakers, participate in interactive workshops, and have the opportunity to network with colleagues.

The programme includes evidence-informed and practice-based approaches, including:

  • Co-produced models of practice
  • Whole-institution approaches to belonging
  • Collaborative partnerships and cross-sector working
  • Innovative interventions and student-led initiatives
  • Research, evaluation and emerging practice
  • Practical strategies that can be adopted to suit your own institution or organisation.

For those working in Local Authorities, Virtual Schools, Higher Education, Further Education and other education focused areas there will be opportunities to gain fresh perspectives and practical takeaways.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD):

The conference will be CPD accredited, enabling delegates to formally recognise and record their professional learning.

Delegates will leave with enhanced understanding, practical tools and inspiration to support the development of inclusive environments where students and colleagues can truly feel a sense of belonging and mattering.

Connect with colleagues across the sector:

One of the most valuable aspects of our conference is the opportunity to connect with peers who share a passion for improving the student experience and outcomes.

The event will provide dedicated time for networking, discussion and collaboration, allowing delegates to exchange ideas, learn from different perspectives and build lasting professional connections.

Join us

We look forward to welcoming you for what promises to be an engaging, thought-provoking and inspiring day. Together, we will explore how belonging and mattering can be placed at the heart of our institutions and discover practical ways to create meaningful change for the communities we serve.

We can't wait to see you there.
