Kimberley Simms is the Head of Widening Participation at a Russell Group university with a passion for making a difference in supporting people to have access to high quality educational opportunities. Kimberley has worked in higher education since 2014 and has undertaken roles in research, data, communications and student recruitment. In her day job, ascertaining why we are doing what we are doing, what the impact is and how we know that the activity is yielding the best outcomes is a key strength. She has a particular passion for work with care experienced students and is looking forward to working with institutions to assess and plan how outcomes for this group can be maximised.
