At Arts University Bournemouth, we’re committed to giving everyone with the potential to benefit from higher education, the chance to do so, regardless of background or circumstances.

Our Care Leavers Bursary supports those who are eligible by providing a grant of £2,000 per academic year, in addition to the support of Access and Participation Team, with a dedicated named point of contact throughout your time at AUB. Students in receipt of the bursary meet with their Access and Participation Team member at least three times per year and can apply to be an Outreach Ambassador, enabling them to make connections across the university, develop professional skills and gain paid work experience.

AUB is able to provide accommodation to care-experienced students for 365 days a year for each year of study. No rent is charged during the summer period, although students remain liable for any costs resulting from damage. Recipients of the Care Leaver Bursary are also eligible for the AUB Guarantor Award, to support students that choose to live in private rented accommodation during their studies.
