ICMP is committed to supporting those with experience of care to access, participate in and benefit from Higher Education. We aim to ensure students are supported throughout their studies and time at ICMP.

Care experienced students will be eligible for our Young Independent Students Bursary, which is a £2000 bursary made in four payments across the academic year. Students will also be eligible to receive the My ICMP Bursary, an additional £800 paid each year for the three years of study.

The team at ICMP can also offer support and advice with finances and accommodation as well as organising a package of activities accessible to care experienced students including welcome activities and care packages at various points in the year. Support from our career service whilst studying and after graduation is also available.

We are not tied to a strict definition of ‘care experienced’ and are happy to consider each applicant on a case-by-case basis. We recognise that those with experience of care may return to education later in life, for example, and we are always keen to extend our support to those who will benefit most.
