Apprenticeships are a brilliant route for some care experienced young people to continue their education, learning and progression into the labour market.

It is important that all of our care experienced learners understand how apprenticeships work and the impact undertaking one may have on their current support, including financial they have in place.

We have sourced some useful guides and advice documents in order to assist you in supporting your students.

A guide for teachers and careers advisers supporting care experienced young people who are considering apprenticeships.

Amazing Apprenticeships have partnered with Become, a leading charity for children in care and young care leavers, to create a guide to support teachers and careers advisers supporting their care experienced students to access apprenticeships.

The guide sets out 10 themes with useful links and activity ideas for educators to use within their settings to try to provide additional support and understanding around the apprenticeship application process, and some of the wraparound support services available through local authorities and government.
